Media Services was founded in 1996, celebrating its 10th Anniversary in 2006.
Originally founded as Data Destruction and Storage Services, the company quickly expanded its service offerings from document shredding services to include automated off-site records management solutions. In 1997 the company expanded operations, including a move to their current 100,000 square foot facility in the Hunt Midwest secure underground complex in Kansas City, Missouri.
In 2001, Media Services expanded its service offering again by acquiring Restore and Recovery LLC, a company specializing in Off-site Data Protection. The new combined companies became Media Services LLC. In 2002, Media Services added another strategic offering called Document Imaging Solutions . This service includes the automation of documents by incorporating advanced records management and records filing solutions, including document imaging and work-flow management.
In 2004 Media Services branded the Secure Document Shredding as ShredTime and in 2005 ShredTime received the highest certification (AAA) from the National Association for Information Destruction (NAID). Also in 2005, Media Services joined Information Protection Solutions of America (IPSA). IPSA is a national alliance of independently owned document destruction companies that are AAA NAID certified.
These combined services now allow our organization to offer complete life cycle management of all data and documents within an organization.
